01What you get
- Marked-up plans — every floor plan with each device pinned where it goes, colour-coded by type, as a PDF you can open in Bluebeam or any viewer.
- Counts by sheet and by type — smokes, heats, CO, duct detectors, pull stations, horn/strobes, speakers, modules, panel. One table, ready for your bid form.
- Priced bill of materials — quantities with list pricing for the panel line you tell us (Simplex, Notifier, Edwards, Fire-Lite, Kidde and others), mounts and backboxes included. Swap in your own costs.
- A note on judgment calls — anywhere the drawings left room for interpretation, we say what we chose and why, so you can move it.
02How it works
- Email the plan set PDF to hello@perfecttakeoff.com with the subject "Takeoff service". Tell us the panel line and whether the building is sprinklered if the drawings don't say.
- We confirm receipt the same business day and tell you the delivery time.
- Within 48 hours you get the three deliverables above and an invoice for $99. Pay by card from the invoice. If it's not useful, tell us why and don't pay.
03What it is, and isn't
This is a bid-stage takeoff: a complete, reviewed first pass that you check and make yours before anything goes to a customer. It is not a stamped engineered design, and it does not replace the engineer's seal or the AHJ review. Every quantity, location and code application is subject to review by a licensed fire-protection engineer and the authority having jurisdiction.
Plan sets up to 60 sheets are $99. Larger sets, multi-building campuses and plan-and-spec sets with engineered FA sheets to transcribe are quoted before we start. Revisions to a set we have already run are $39.
04Why we do this
Perfect Takeoff is software. Most shops end up running it themselves — three takeoffs are free, and Pro is $149 a month for ten. The service exists for the estimator who wants to see the output on a real job before touching the app, or who simply has more bids than hours this week. If you order twice, we'll show you how to do the third one yourself in ten minutes.
